These links offer students a more secure means of reaching their most appropriate level of qualification, with the option of transferring to a University course, if necessary. For potential students their now exists an unparalleled range of entry and exit points to and from course at Stow College, with simple means of transferring through the range of qualifications available.

 

Learner Charter

 

Stow College is committed to providing all its students with the highest possible quality of service. A Learner Charter has been drawn up as a guarantee of this commitment. The Charter aims to make students aware of their right to quality service and what they can do if they think this service has not been provided to an acceptable level. The Learner Charter is incorporated within the College Student Handbook, copies of which are provided to all new students.

 

Quality Assurance

 

Stow College is committed to continuous quality improvement of all its activities. In particular, the focus of our improvement programme is on the learner.

The College is approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority the government agency responsible for awards.

Also, the college has been inspected recently by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate for Education who were confident that the college is managed well and is improving the quality of services to learners.

We use the European Excellence Model as a tool to assess our performance and to drive continuous improvement throughout the whole organisation.
